The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed reports claiming that two officers, including the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ilemba-Hausa Division, were killed during a clash in the Iyana area of Ojo, Lagos.

In a statement on Tuesday signed by Adebisi Abimbola, the command described the circulating information as false and misleading, clarifying that no police personnel or civilians lost their lives in the incident.

According to the police, operatives responded swiftly to the situation, restoring calm in the area. Security personnel have since maintained a visible presence to ensure sustained peace and prevent any further breakdown of law and order.

The command also addressed viral videos linked to the incident, stating that the footage being shared online is unrelated and does not reflect what occurred in Ojo.

Residents were urged to verify information through official and credible sources before sharing, and to rely on the police command’s communication channels for accurate updates.
