The Lagos State leader of the African Democratic Congress, Chief Moshood Salvador, has reaffirmed the party’s readiness to contest and win the 2027 general elections against the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The party said its organisational strength across polling units, wards, local governments, and state structures forms the foundation of its confidence ahead of the polls.
Salvador stated that the party has completed its internal restructuring and activated its leadership machinery following its recent congresses in Lagos.
He maintained that the ADC will rely on its established grassroots network to mobilise voters across the state and beyond.
Salvador said, “ADC has a complete structure to win across all levels. The work has started, with all executives and party machinery inaugurated.”
He added that prevailing national challenges would shape voter choices in the next election, arguing that citizens would reject hardship at the ballot.
Salvador said, “Nobody will ever vote for hunger, nobody will ever vote for poverty, nobody will ever vote for insecurity.”
He expressed confidence that the opposition party would displace the APC in 2027, saying, “There is no doubt APC will find its way out of government in 2027. We have started the work already, and we are out to win.”
Mrs Sandra Ogah, a member of the ADC Congress Committee, said the party aims to extend its influence nationwide while consolidating its position in Lagos.
She said, “In the next election, ADC will take over Nigeria. When ADC takes over Nigeria, the party will take over Lagos.”
Ogah also urged members to sustain coordination and unity as preparations intensify, adding, “All hands must remain on deck.”
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that George Ashiru retained his position as Lagos ADC chairman through a consensus arrangement.
