An Enugu Air aircraft experienced a runway excursion after landing at the Benin Airport on Thursday, with all passengers and crew safely evacuated without injuries.
The airline confirmed the incident in a public notice, stating that the aircraft veered off the runway after landing but was secured immediately.
Enugu Air said there were no casualties, adding that the relevant aviation authorities had been notified in line with established procedures.
According to the airline, an assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.
The airline also warned that the occurrence could lead to temporary adjustments to some flight schedules, noting that affected passengers would be contacted directly and assisted.
“We confirm that all passengers and crew have safely disembarked and there were no injuries or casualties,” the airline said.
Enugu Air apologised for any inconvenience caused, thanked passengers for their patience and cooperation, and reiterated that the safety of its passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority
