Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Chinaecherem Maduagwu, publicly known as Neche, has voluntarily exited the reality show, with the organisers confirming that her decision was prompted by pressing personal matters requiring her immediate attention.
MultiChoice Nigeria and the Big Brother Naija production team confirmed her exit on Sunday, August 16, 2026, saying Neche made the decision herself and was not evicted from the house.
According to the organisers, Neche informed the production team that she needed to attend to personal matters outside the show that could not be put off.
“Neche took this decision as a result of pressing personal matters, which she said required immediate attention,” the organisers said in a statement.
Her departure comes as a surprise to viewers, particularly given her active participation and achievements during her time in the BBNaija house.
The production team praised the housemate for the energy and commitment she brought to the show, highlighting her notable wins and achievements during her stay.
While expressing sadness over her departure, the organisers said they respected her decision and wished her success in her future endeavours.
They also assured fans that Neche remains part of the BBNaija family and expressed optimism about her prospects after the reality show.
“We look forward to seeing all that she will achieve beyond the show,” the statement added.
Neche’s voluntary exit means her journey on BBNaija Season 11 has come to an end outside the usual eviction process, as fans and fellow housemates adjust to her sudden departure.
The organisers, however, did not disclose the nature of the personal matters that prompted her decision.
