The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
LASEMA, in a statement issued by its Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the incident may have been caused by a brake failure, adding that two persons were injured in the incident.
Oke-Osanyintolu disclosed that the accident involved a MACK concrete mixer truck belonging to Dangote company and a TATA truck.
“Investigation conducted by the response team revealed that the Dangote truck suffered mechanical failure (brakes) lost control and crashed into a Justrite truck, whose driver was loading items before it further rammed into the building beside the road and crushed into two people in the process,” the statement said.
“Unfortunately, the Justrite driver died instantly. Two other victims sustained injuries and were transported to Gbagada General Hospital.
