Traffic Diversions Announced as Lagos Gears Up for APC Primaries on May 10
As part of preparations for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primaries scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 10, at the APC State Secretariat, ACME Road, Ikeja, the Lagos State Government has released a traffic advisory to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety.
According to the advisory, the entire stretch of ACME Road will be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the primaries. Affected routes include the entry points from Adeniyi Jones, Lateef Jakande, and ACME Crescent.
To ease the impact of the closure, motorists are advised to use the following alternative routes:
From Adeniyi Jones: Use Aromire Road to connect to Allen Junction and proceed with your journey.
From Allen Avenue: Take Aromire Road to link Ladipo Oluwole, then access Guinness Road to reach your destination.
From Akilo Road: Connect to Wemco Road and either link Lateef Jakande or continue onto Omole.
Residents and commuters are urged to plan their movements in advance and avoid the ACME Road axis unless absolutely necessary. This will help reduce traffic congestion and improve the flow of movement in the area.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be stationed along key corridors to assist with traffic control and ensure order.
