Vice President Kashim Shettima has visited the widow of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, Mrs Aisha Buhari, in London to commiserate with her and other grieving family members.
Present at the meeting were the former First Lady’s children, visibly mourning the loss of their father.
Accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Vice President also paid a condolence visit to Buhari’s older nephew and longtime confidant, Mamman Daura, as well as other close relatives and associates of the late former leader.
EveryDayLagos earlier reported that the remains of President Buhari will arrive in Nigeria on Tuesday for burial in his hometown, Daura, in accordance with Islamic rites.
