The Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CIoD) has appointed Dr Taiwo Nolas-Alausa as its new Director General and Chief Executive Officer.

The institute announced on Friday that he will officially take office on August 1.

CIoD Nigeria President Otunba Adetunji Oyebanji made the announcement in Lagos, naming Nolas-Alausa to succeed Mr Bamidele Alimi, whose second and final four-year term ended on July 31.

Dr Nolas-Alausa brings over 22 years of leadership experience in learning and development, backed by strategic insight and strong communication skills that align with CIoD’s mission to advance corporate governance and ethical leadership.

He will leverage his expertise in human capital development, strategic planning, and leadership training to enhance member value, deepen stakeholder engagement, and drive the institute’s growth and governance reforms.
