The Federal Government unveiled a virtual interactive tool to help public officers better understand and follow the Code of Conduct.
The platform was launched on Tuesday in Abuja by Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The tool was developed by the Technical Unit on Governance and Anti-Corruption Reforms (TUGAR) in collaboration with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
Its development began in 2018 after a survey and gap analysis of Nigeria’s ethics framework.
It offers cost-effective, easy-to-use online training, helps track compliance, and will be regularly updated and integrated into mandatory onboarding and career development programs for civil servants.
The launch took place in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
This initiative aims to reduce corruption, promote integrity and accountability, and make the Code of Conduct digital, accessible, and practical for all public officers.
It also supports Nigeria’s commitment to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
Key people involved include Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, Director Jane Onwumere of TUGAR, Dr. Abdullahi Bello, Chairman of the CCB, and Chief Lateef Fagbemi, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.
The project is supported by the MacArthur Foundation, Centre for Democracy and Development, and the NAKASI Project.
