Frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship hopeful in Ogun State, Hon. Jelili Kayode Amusan, has issued a rallying call to the people of Ogun: “Go out, register, and secure the power to decide your future.”
In a statement from his media office on Sunday, Amusan described the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the single most important civic duty for every eligible resident.
> “Across Nigeria, citizens are turning out in their numbers to register. We must not be left behind in Ogun. This is our moment. A lot is at stake, and the future of our children depends on the choices we make today. But to have a say, we must first have our PVCs,” Amusan declared.
Who Needs to Register Now?
Young people who just turned 18
Those who have changed addresses
Anyone who lost or damaged their voter’s card
Residents who have returned home to Ogun State
Amusan, a two-time member of the House of Representatives and a respected entrepreneur, reminded citizens that registration is ongoing at all local government headquarters, while INEC will open more centres in due course.
> “Let us not wait until the last minute when the centres are overcrowded. Let us move now, while the process is easier. Registration began on August 25, if you care about Ogun’s future, the first step is to register,” he urged.
A Call Beyond Registration
Hon. Amusan went further to link voter registration with his broader vision for Ogun State.
> “From 2027, our agenda is clear: to put Ogun first and transform it into a massive industrial haven that creates jobs, empowers our youth, and uplifts every community. But that future will not happen by chance. It begins with voter registration. It begins with you.”
He called on students, artisans, professionals, traders, market women, farmers, the elderly, and the youth to see the exercise as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the destiny of the state.
> “We cannot complain tomorrow if we fail to act today. The power is in our hands, and that power is our PVC. Let us rise, let us register, and let us make Ogun shine brighter than ever before.”
The statement concluded with a reminder:
“Your PVC is your voice. Your PVC is your strength. Your PVC is Ogun’s future. Do not wait. Register now.”
