The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Logistics Command has announced that sections of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Road in Lagos will be temporarily closed on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to accommodate its routine 10-kilometre Walk/Jog Exercise.

In a statement signed by Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the exercise will hold between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. as part of the NAF’s ongoing efforts to enhance physical fitness, health, and operational readiness among its officers and men.

During the exercise, vehicular movement will be restricted along the stretch between Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MMA2) and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Motorists and residents within the area are therefore advised to make use of alternative routes.

“The Command has made adequate arrangements to ensure the exercise is smooth, safe, and hitch-free. NAF personnel, alongside other security agencies, will be on ground to guide traffic and ensure public safety,” the statement read.

While expressing regret over any temporary inconvenience the closure might cause, the Air Force appealed for public understanding and cooperation, assuring that normal traffic flow will resume immediately after the exercise.
