Motorists and other road users were left stranded in heavy traffic on Thursday afternoon following an accident involving two trucks at Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Eyewitnesses said the crash resulted in severe congestion, with only one lane accessible to vehicles, significantly slowing movement along the busy corridor.
The situation was further compounded as some drivers attempted to navigate against the flow of traffic, worsening the gridlock for oncoming vehicles.
Authorities have urged motorists to remain calm, avoid driving against traffic, and comply with directives from traffic management officials deployed to the area to ease the congestion.
