The Ondo State All Stars Veteran Footballers have won a place at the National All Stars Football Championship in Lagos this August, President Abayomi Adebayo announced on Monday.

He spoke to reporters in Akure just after the team finished as runners-up at the South-West regional qualifiers held at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Their unity, hard work, and strong support for the current executive members helped them secure this spot.

Adebayo praised every player for their dedication and commitment throughout the qualifying matches.

He also used the occasion to introduce two new patrons who have joined the association: Mr Segun David, CEO of 1475 Hotel and Lounge, and Mr Ibrahim Dende, a local businessman.

He expressed confidence that these additions will bring fresh energy, new resources, and valuable guidance to the team’s leadership.

To keep the veterans in top shape, the executive committee has arranged regular fitness and training sessions for all retired players.

Adebayo stressed that maintaining high fitness levels and strong team bonds is key to improving their performance at the national level.

With the combined efforts of the players, the support of the newly unveiled patrons, and a clear focus on unity, the Ondo All Stars veterans are determined to build on their recent success and deliver an even stronger showing in Lagos.
