The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Lagos State has reaffirmed its unity and readiness to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 governorship election.
The party’s governorship candidate, Prince Laja Adeoye, stated this on Tuesday after a strategic meeting with the party’s Senate and House of Representatives candidates, State Executive Committee members and other key officials.
The meeting, convened by the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organisation (LACO), was attended by the party’s state chairman, secretary, woman leader, organising secretary, publicity secretary and youth leader, as well as APM chairmen from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas.
Adeoye said several key issues were resolved at the meeting, while important appointments were also made as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s structure and coordination ahead of the 2027 elections.
He described the Lagos APM as “one strong, united family” and said the party was determined to secure substantial votes for all its candidates, from the governorship to the National Assembly.
According to him, the meeting also provided an opportunity for candidates and party leaders to improve coordination and consolidate their preparations for the election.
Adeoye urged party members and supporters across the state to remain united and focused as the campaign gathers momentum.
He said the APM’s strength was rooted in its structures across the LGAs and LCDAs and the commitment of its members to the party’s success in 2027.
