Big Brother Naija reality star Bella Okagbue has reportedly taken legal action against her former partner, Sheggz Olusemo, accusing him of attempted murder, torture, assault and breach of promise to marry.
According to a court document circulating online, Bella, through her lawyers, alleged that she was subjected to verbal, emotional, physical and psychological abuse during their relationship.
Her legal team is reportedly demanding N2.5 billion in damages and has given Sheggz three days to respond or face further legal action.
The lawyers alleged that Bella suffered several incidents of assault, including an alleged attempt to strangle her. They also claimed that in October 2023, Sheggz assaulted Bella, locked her inside his residence and prevented her from leaving.
The legal documents reportedly cited a message Bella allegedly sent to Sheggz’s mother pleading for her intervention.
“Mum, please, call Sheggz to let me go home. I want to go home. I’ve been disrespected enough,” she allegedly wrote.
Bella’s lawyers also referenced conversations from November 2025 in which she allegedly expressed fear over threats to kill her and repeated allegations of strangulation.
As part of the demands, Bella is reportedly seeking N19.826 million and £10,237, N500 million for alleged breach of promise to marry, and N2 billion for alleged physical, emotional and psychological trauma.
The development comes after Sheggz reportedly filed a defamation suit against Bella last month over her allegation that he owed her money.
The latest allegations remain claims contained in legal documents, and no court determination on the accusations has been reported.
