The Lagos State Government has approved a new fare structure for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and standard route bus services across the state.

The revised fares, which affect multiple corridors spanning Lagos Mainland, Island and Ikorodu axis, are expected to take immediate effect.

Under the standard route services, commuters travelling from Igando to Obalende will now pay ₦1,140, while the Baruwa–Ikeja–Oshodi route is fixed at ₦800. Marina to Lekki is ₦570, Egbeda to Obalende ₦1,030, and Iyana Ipaja to Obalende ₦1,090.

Other major routes include Odogunyan–Oshodi (₦920), Odogunyan–CMS (₦1,140), Ikotun–Marina/CMS (₦1,100), Berger–Lekki (₦1,140), Badagry–Mile 2 (₦1,140), and Ayobo–Obalende (₦1,260).

On additional standard routes, fares include Ikeja–Berger (₦470), Ikeja–Obalende (₦720), Berger–Ajah (₦1,710), Oshodi–Ajah (₦1,320), Mile 12–Apapa (₦810), Oshodi–Apapa (₦690), and Oshodi–Agege (₦430).

For BRT services, Oshodi–Abule Egba is now ₦680, Oshodi–Ayobo ₦890, Oshodi–Tollgate ₦970, and Abule Egba–CMS/TBS ₦1,080.

Commuters along the Ikorodu corridor will pay ₦960 from Ikorodu to TBS, ₦910 to Yaba/Oyingbo/Costain, ₦680 to Oshodi, and ₦570 to Maryland, Ojota or Ketu. Ikorodu–Mile 12 is fixed at ₦450.

Other BRT routes include Mile 2–TBS (₦680), Ketu–TBS (₦680), and Ojo Barracks–Mile 2 (₦510).

The state government said the new fare regime covers both standard and BRT corridors across major transit hubs including Oshodi, Ikeja, CMS, TBS, Ajah, Ikorodu, Abule Egba and Mile 2.

Commuters are advised to take note of the updated fares when planning their journeys across the state.
