The All Progressives Congress’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has said that a court ruling shaped the Party’s decision to support the Independent National Electoral Commission over its removal of a faction within the African Democratic Congress.
He stated in Abuja that “INEC’s decision to de-recognise the factional David Mark-led executives of the ADC is in compliance with court judgment and valid in law.”
Morka said the legal directive drove the commission’s action and reinforced established democratic practice.
He blamed the crisis on internal conflicts within the ADC, adding that “it is the consequence of the party’s reckless and desperate misadventure.”
He accused David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola of taking control of the party in breach of its constitution.
He said the situation showed the party’s failure to manage its affairs, stressing that “a party that cannot fix itself cannot fix Nigeria.”
Morka criticised the ADC for focusing on attacks instead of solutions, describing it as “a peddler of conspiracy theories.”
He added that the APC continues to support governance efforts under Bola Tinubu.
