Dangote Refinery has sharply reduced its ex-depot petrol price to gain a competitive edge over the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and other fuel stations in Nigeria.

Recent checks on Petroleumpriceng show that Dangote Refinery’s ex-depot price has dropped to N699 per litre, down from N828 per litre. This represents a N129, or 15.58 per cent, reduction in petrol prices.

This latest adjustment marks approximately the 20th price review this year and comes ahead of the Yuletide season.

The move by Dangote Refinery follows announcements by the NNPC and other fuel stations of at least two price reductions in the past three weeks, which currently put the retail price of petrol between N915 and N937 per litre in Abuja.
