A Jos Magistrate’s Court on Thursday sentenced an 18-year-old electrician, Babagida Abubakar to six Months imprisonment for stabbing a man with a pair of scissors.
The convict pleaded guilty to the charge brought against him by the police.
The Magistrate, Mrs Irene Pati sentenced the convict to six months in imprisonment with an option of N30,000 fine an also ordered him to pay a compensation of N25,000.
While reviewing the facts, the prosecutor, Ibrahim Gokwat told the court that the case was reported on July 26, at the Nassarawa Gwong Police Station by one Al-Amin Umar, the complainant.
Gokwat said the convict stabbed the complainant in the back with a pair of scissors resulting in an injury.
He said the offence contravened the Plateau Penal Code Law.
