The Federal Government has announced that a section of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway will be temporarily opened to traffic on Friday, December 12, 2025, in Lagos.
According to an official invitation issued by the Federal Ministry of Works, the segment between Ahmadu Bello Way Junction and Eleko Village Junction will be opened during a brief ceremony scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island.
The temporary opening follows a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ease traffic movement across Lagos, particularly ahead of the 2025 festive season.
The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdulahi Sesan Olowa, is among officials invited to the event.
