Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday says she is returning to filmmaking after making her celebrity boxing debut against reality TV star Phyna.
Blessing lost the bout by knockout but described the experience as a courageous feat, noting that she trained for only two days before the fight.
“Still a CHAMPION regardless of the result… even the blind knows who the winner is,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Now let’s go back to making movies cus I no be boxer.”
Despite the defeat, the actress said she would be open to another boxing bout, reflecting on how she stepped into the ring for the first time and “fought like a warrior.”
Blessing also dedicated the experience to her late mother, Gloria Obasi Sunday. She said she had requested her mother’s favourite song to be played before she entered the ring because she wanted to feel her presence.
She thanked Balmoral Promotions and Bet9ja for the opportunity, describing the experience as one she would not forget.
