Former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Jude Idimogu, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity during the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
He said the festival offers an opportunity for citizens to foster love, togetherness, and national cohesion.
“The celebration of Eid-el-Fitr should renew our faith in God and increase our love and togetherness as a united country,” Idimogu stated.
He encouraged Muslim faithful to pray for peace, development, and progress across the nation.
Idimogu stressed the importance of following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, which promote integrity and good neighbourliness.
He also urged Muslim leaders to preach tolerance and harmony, noting that “no society could grow without such values.”
The former lawmaker highlighted that APC-led governments at both state and federal levels remain committed to protecting lives and property regardless of political affiliation.
He concluded by wishing Muslims a peaceful and successful Eid celebration while calling on them to pray for the country’s continued progress.
