Controversial singer Portable has challenged heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua to a high-stakes fight, boasting he would defeat him for a N1 billion prize.
The bold claim was made on Thursday during a public face-off ahead of Portable’s exhibition bout with content creator Carter Efe. The match is scheduled to take place on May 1 at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Portable, who describes himself as the face of “Nigerian boxing,” insisted no one could take his “belt.” He previously revealed he was paid N40 million to accept the fight, with additional incentives promised if he emerges victorious.
Carter Efe confirmed he accepted the bout after being informed that the winner would receive N50 million.
Portable has built a reputation in celebrity boxing, with past wins over Speed Darlington, Charles Okocha, and Kelvin Power, a bodyguard to singer Kizz Daniel.
