The All Progressives Congress (APC) in has dismissed reports claiming that its State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, ordered the recall of all Secretaries to Local Governments (SLGs) and supervisors to the party secretariat.

Describing the report as false and misleading, the party said it was designed to create unnecessary tension within its ranks and among the public.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos, the Lagos APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said the publication alleged that the state chairman had summoned all SLGs and supervisors to the party secretariat in Acme following directives purportedly from the Presidential Villa.

“We wish to categorically state that this report is false, misleading, and clearly intended to cause confusion and unnecessary anxiety within our party and the general public,” Oladejo said.

He stressed that the state chairman did not issue any such directive and that no emergency meeting was scheduled as speculated.

Oladejo reaffirmed that the Lagos APC remains a disciplined, transparent, and law-abiding political party committed to due process and collective decision-making.

He added that the party’s attention is firmly focused on preparations for the forthcoming national elections.

“At this critical time, our primary focus is on strengthening party structures and mobilising effectively to ensure continued progress and victory at the polls,” he said.

The spokesman urged party members, supporters, and the public to disregard unverified information capable of heating up the polity, assuring that official updates would be communicated through recognised party channels.
