The Lagos State Police command has intensified patrols and security operations along the busy Mile 12–Ketu corridor following reports of armed robbery attacks targeting motorists in traffic.
Mile 12–Ketu, one of Lagos’ most congested routes linking major markets and residential communities, recently witnessed a spike in violent incidents. In mid-February 2026, commuters reported that suspected armed youths wielding cutlasses attempted to force open vehicle doors during heavy gridlock.
