LASG warns Ajah residents of security threats, but urges calm

The Lagos State Government has raised an alarm over possible security threats in the Ajah area, cautioning residents against actions that could trigger unrest.

According to intelligence reports from security operatives, certain non-state actors are allegedly plotting to instigate a breakdown of law and order in the axis.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert, the government assured that it is fully aware of the issues within the community and is committed to resolving them peacefully and equitably.

Robert urged residents, stakeholders, and members of the public to maintain peace and refrain from activities that could heighten tension or disrupt security.

He added that security agencies have been placed on high alert to forestall any breach of peace, investigate suspicious activities, and prosecute offenders in line with state and federal laws.

The statement further noted that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration remains committed to safeguarding lives, property, and ensuring orderliness across Lagos State.
