The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that the Minna Transmission Substation will undergo a scheduled maintenance exercise that will interrupt electricity supply to several areas.

The General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, said the operation will involve shutting down a 60MVA 132/33kV transformer to allow engineers to carry out routine servicing.

She said, “TCN hereby notifies the public of a scheduled maintenance exercise on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation on Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.”

The maintenance will take place on Thursday between 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Minna Transmission Substation.

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will suspend power supply to customers in Zarumai, Maitumbi, General Hospital Minna, IBB Uphill, parts of Tunga, Bosso, and surrounding areas during the period.

Mbah said, “Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity from the transformer to customers” in the affected locations.

Engineers will isolate the facility, complete the servicing, and restore the electricity supply after the exercise.
