The National Council of Arts and Culture (NCAC), Lagos Directorate, led by Zonal Director Mrs. Ivie Uwa-Igbinoba, along with AJ Africa Fashion Founder Sunday Olajide, has said they were seeking the support of corporate organisations, multinationals, and banks to expand the indigenous trade fair.

They explained that the support was needed to transform the fair into a major annual cultural event, promote Nigeria’s heritage, display indigenous products, strengthen cultural pride, empower local businesses, and give the country global visibility.

The call was made on Tuesday during the ongoing exhibition, which runs until September 10.

They added that the event was being held in Lagos under the theme “Eko Wears and Wares.”

They further stated that free entry was introduced to attract more visitors, while companies and banks were encouraged to set up stands, stressing that investor funding, professional event planning, and wider media coverage were key to growing the fair’s impact.
