The family of veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs, who died on September 16 at the age of 84, has announced the dates for his burial rites.
According to an obituary announcement shared by celebrity journalist and media entrepreneur Seun Oloketuyi, a night of tributes will be held at Glover Memorial Hall, Marina, Lagos, on Wednesday, September 30, at 4pm.
The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 2, at This Present House, Lekki, beginning at 10am.
Jacobs, who was married to fellow veteran actress Joke Silva, was one of Nigeria’s most celebrated actors, with a career spanning stage, television and film.
The couple, who married in 1989 and have two children, also founded and operated the Lufodo Group, which includes film production and distribution ventures as well as the Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts.
