Music superstar Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr O, one half of the now-defunct duo P-Square, has announced a change in the date of his birthday.

In a message shared with fans, the singer stated that November 18 will no longer be observed as his birthday celebration date. He added that he would not be accepting messages or gifts on that day going forward.

According to him, his birthday will now be celebrated on November 30, describing the move as a personal decision and thanking fans, friends, and family for their understanding.

Peter Okoye rose to prominence alongside his twin brother, Paul Okoye, with whom he formed P-Square, one of Africa’s most successful music groups before their split.

There has been conflict in the family and the musical group which led to a court case involving their former manager and elder brother Jude Okoye whom Peter accused of fraud. Paul is said to have taken his elder brother’s side in the feud.
