The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, has launched a dedicated anti-crime patrol operation along the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road to tackle criminal activities and enhance security along the corridor.
The initiative, aimed at strengthening safety for motorists and residents, involves the deployment of four specialised patrol teams to strategic points along the route.
According to the police, the teams will operate round the clock to guarantee continuous visibility policing and ensure rapid response to distress calls and emergencies.
The latest deployment is in addition to several patrol vehicles that have been stationed along the highway since December 2025 as part of sustained efforts to secure the road.
The police command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel by reporting suspicious movements and activities.
