Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have recovered four vehicles from suspected armed robbers, following a series of targeted operations across the state.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olohundare Jimoh, disclosed this on Monday while briefing journalists at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja. He said the arrests and recoveries were made after the police acted on credible intelligence.

According to him, one of the suspects, an ex-convict, was arrested for allegedly snatching an unregistered Toyota Camry. “The car was found in his possession, and during interrogation, he confessed to taking it from one of his victims. The suspect is assisting investigators to apprehend his fleeing accomplices,” Jimoh stated.

In a separate operation, the police recovered a 2021 Lexus hybrid, valued at over ₦75 million, from another suspect. The luxury vehicle, believed to have been stolen abroad, was reportedly about to be sold for ₦60 million without proper documentation.

Jimoh further revealed that operatives recovered a Suzuki mini bus used for ‘one chance’ robberies and arrested five suspects in connection with the case. Additionally, a Mercedes-Benz E350 was seized from another suspect.

He assured that all arrested suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
