The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has commenced an internal disciplinary process over sexual misconduct allegations circulating on social media against its former National Teens President, Adefolarin Fowosere, popularly known as Pastor Ade Fire.
Fowosere, 22, formerly served as the lead pastor of RCCG The Revival House, a church focused on teenagers and young adults, and was also active in the denomination’s teens ministry.
The allegations, which surfaced on X and TikTok in recent days, accuse the youth pastor of sexual misconduct, abuse of pastoral authority and exploitation involving multiple women.
When contacted, Fowosere requested that enquiries be sent via text message. Although he read the message, he did not respond to the specific allegations.
A man who identified himself as Fowosere’s media spokesperson, Daniel, confirmed that the church was already handling the matter through its internal disciplinary process.
“The church is aware and it is being handled by the necessary authorities at the Redeemed camp. Ade Fire himself has been reporting to Mummy GO’s office for about a week or two, even before the social media discussions started. Every necessary unit concerned with the matter is involved. The issue is on the desk of Mummy GO. The authority of RCCG instructed him not to make any public statement for now. Let’s await the truth,” he said.
RCCG has yet to issue an official public statement on the allegations, which include claims by several women that Fowosere exploited his position as a spiritual leader to engage in inappropriate relationships with young women under his pastoral care.
One of the accusers alleged in a TikTok post that Fowosere abused his position to pursue inappropriate relationships, while other social media users have made similar claims.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and as of the time of filing this report, no law enforcement agency has announced criminal charges against Fowosere.
The church’s internal disciplinary process is expected to determine its position on the matter.
