It has been revealed that British-Nigerian businessman, socialite and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, died following complications from a penis enlargement procedure he underwent in Thailand weeks ago.
Ubiribo, 43, reportedly had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his penis at a clinic in Bangkok in March, according to proceedings at Inner West London Coroners’ Court.
After the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, reportedly went for a massage, where he complained of chest pain before collapsing twice.
He was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism — a blood clot blocking an artery in the lungs.
Medical personnel reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.
A postmortem examination conducted in the UK reportedly found cellular material in his lungs matching the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure.
Ubiribo, who had about 185,000 followers on Instagram, was known for his lavish lifestyle and social media presence.
He was later buried in London in a reported $745,000 gold coffin, with Nigerian celebrities, including Davido and Cubana Chief Priest, among those who attended his funeral.
