Dr. H. A. Sanuth has denied reports claiming that he has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), describing the reports as false and unverified.

Sanuth made the clarification in an official statement following the circulation of reports suggesting that he had been named to head the Lagos State waste management agency.

He categorically stated that he had not been appointed to the position, urging members of the public to disregard the reports and refrain from spreading unconfirmed information.

“I wish to state categorically that this information is false, unfounded, and without any official confirmation. I have not been appointed to the position,” he said.

Sanuth expressed appreciation to those who had shared the reports or reacted to the purported appointment, acknowledging their goodwill and support.

However, he stressed the importance of verifying information before disseminating it, particularly on matters concerning appointments to public offices.

He urged members of the public to rely on credible sources and official announcements for accurate information about government appointments.

“I remain grateful for the goodwill and encouragement of all well-wishers and respectfully urge everyone to rely on credible and official sources for information regarding public appointments,” he added.

The clarification comes amid speculation over the leadership of LAWMA, the Lagos State Government agency responsible for coordinating and managing waste collection and disposal across the state.
