Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in the newly appointed chairmen and members of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), and Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LASERC). The swearing-in ceremony took place at Lagos House, Ikeja, on Monday.

During his address, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged the appointees to uphold the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized the importance of embracing technology and fostering strong partnerships with communities, civil society, and the private sector to create an enabling environment for teachers, voters, and consumers to thrive.

The Governor highlighted the crucial roles each commission plays in advancing Lagos State’s THEMES+ agenda, which focuses on innovation, good governance, and inclusive growth. He expressed confidence in the appointees’ ability to deliver on their mandates effectively and improve the lives of Lagos State residents.

– Mrs. Mopelola Peregrino (Chairman)
– Mrs. Kafayat Ajenifuja (Commissioner I)
– Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye (Commissioner II)
– Hon. Segun Agbaje (Commissioner III)
– Mrs. Abimbola Idowu (Commissioner IV)

LASIEC Appointee:

– Prince Adewale Ojora (Member)

LASERC Appointees:

– Engr. Abimbola Odubiyi (Chairman/Non-Executive Member)
– Mr. Tunde Gbajumo (Non-Executive Member)
– Dr. Fouad Animasahun (Executive Member/CEO)
– Barr. Kofoworola Olokun-Olawoyin (Executive Member)
– Engr. Oluwaseun Fadare (Executive Member)

The Governor also emphasized the significance of LASERC’s mandate in ensuring an affordable, reliable, and sustainable electricity supply tailored to Lagos State’s unique needs. He charged the appointees to work tirelessly to protect the interests of the people and improve their quality of life.

In his remarks, Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, advised the appointees to view their appointment as a call to service and demonstrate undiluted dedication and commitment in the discharge of their duties. He noted that the appointments reflect Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to promoting transparency and meritocracy in the appointment process in Lagos State.
