Music stars Wande Coal and Davido have exchanged words on social media over their unreleased collaboration, “Come My Way.”

The dispute followed comments by Davido during a recent podcast interview, which he later shared on his Instagram Story.

Davido said the song was never released because he disagreed with Wande Coal over the proposed release strategy. According to him, Wande Coal had initially asked him to feature on the song, after which he recorded his verse.

He explained that the disagreement arose when Wande Coal planned to release the original version first and later use Davido’s contribution for a remix. Davido said he recorded his verse with the understanding that it would be part of the original release, not a remix.

Wande Coal, however, rejected Davido’s account in a post on X, insisting that the song already had a release plan and date before the disagreement.

He wrote: “Carry song come give you as how? Song wey been get release plan and date!!! Song wey no be your own you wan dictate release plan.”

The singer also dismissed the suggestion that Davido’s absence affected the song’s performance, saying: “That song fkin did well without you on it bruv!!!”

Davido later responded to Wande Coal on X, further escalating the exchange between the two artistes.

The public fallout has since sparked reactions among their fans and music industry observers, with many urging both singers to end the dispute and sheathe their swords.
