American WWE legend Hulk Hogan has reportedly died at the age of 71. Eyewitnesses said he was seen being carried out on a stretcher, but despite medical efforts, he did not survive.
The news comes just two days after his longtime manager, Jimmy Hart, dismissed health concerns and claimed Hogan was “doing phenomenal” and had even participated in karaoke earlier in the week.
Hogan’s wife, Sky, had also recently denied rumors that the wrestling icon was in a coma following neck surgery.
As of now, Hogan’s family has not officially confirmed his passing. He is survived by his wife, Sky, and his two children, Brooke and Nick Hogan.
Born on August 11, 1953, in Augusta, Georgia, but raised in Tampa, Florida, Hogan became a global sensation in the 1980s with his larger-than-life “Hulkamania” persona. He played a pivotal role in transforming World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) into a global entertainment empire.
He was first inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 but was removed in 2015 after controversial remarks surfaced from a secretly recorded video. Hogan later sued Gawker Media, the outlet that released the footage, and won the case. He was re-inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020.
