Lagos announces night traffic diversion at Fadeyi and Dorman Long for truck barrier installation

The Lagos State Government has announced a night traffic diversion at Fadeyi inward Donmanlong and Donmanlong inward Ojuelegba to facilitate the installation of truck barriers.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed in a statement on Friday that the diversion will take place from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the installation. Those traveling from Fadeyi Donmanlong Bridge/Ayilara inbound Ojuelegba are instructed to use the service lane from Fadeyi/Jibowu/Empire/Donmanlong to link Barracks to reach their destinations.

Osiyemi urged commuters to exercise patience in the area, noting that the temporary closure is part of a traffic management strategy to prevent accidents and save lives. He also appealed to the public to avoid vandalism or damage to the newly installed truck barriers.

The state government emphasized that the measures are temporary, strategic, and aimed at enhancing road safety.
