Father of former Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, Emmanuel Odiniya, has spoken about the viral altercation involving his daughter, saying he reacted out of frustration after an alleged family dispute turned violent.
In a voice note circulating online, he said he still loves his daughter but accused her of changing after winning the reality show. He claimed he contributed to her success and mobilised support during her time on the show.
He alleged that their relationship deteriorated after her rise to fame, saying she stopped listening to him and became disrespectful. He also claimed she physically attacked him during past and recent incidents.
Emmanuel further said the recent confrontation escalated after an exchange in which both parties were injured, adding that the situation led to hospitalisation of family members.
He also accused her of neglecting him financially despite his health challenges and alleged that she influenced her younger brother negatively.
Despite the allegations, he said he still wants reconciliation and called for peace within the family.
The incident became public after Ilebaye shared a livestream video calling for help. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command confirmed that those involved sustained injuries and are receiving treatment while investigations continue.
