The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has arrested two men for allegedly dumping faecal waste on a road median in the Oshodi area of Lagos State.

The suspects were identified as Sabo Ali, 50, and Ahead Adamu, 30.

According to LAWMA, the men allegedly used a cart to dispose of the waste on the road median. The agency also disclosed that operatives of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) had sealed the abandoned property from which the suspects allegedly operated.

The authority said it would intensify efforts to identify and stop illegal waste disposal, enforce environmental regulations and protect public spaces across Lagos.

It also urged residents to dispose of waste responsibly and patronise approved waste collection services to help maintain a clean and healthy environment.

The agency did not disclose when the arrests were made or whether the suspects had been charged in court.
