Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three suspects for allegedly being in possession of human parts.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development on Tuesday.
SP Hundeyin said the suspects were nabbed for being in possession of human tongues.
The spokesperson said two of the suspects were arrested with the parts in a taxi during a routine stop-and-search on Otedola Bridge in Lagos on October 15.
“Further investigations led the operatives to the apprehension of the third suspect from whom the parts were bought in Oyingbo market, Lagos State,” the police spokesperson revealed.
He said further probe into the incident was ongoing, adding that the suspects would be taken to if found culpable.
