The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) recently extended its advocacy campaign to the Urhobo World United Union (Lagos Zone).

Head, Public Affairs Unit of the agency quoted the Executive Secretary, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, of highlighting the vital role of non-indigenous ethnic groups in Lagos in addressing domestic and sexual violence.
She stressed that their collective influence, combined with DSVA’s resources, could drive meaningful societal change.
As part of the awareness efforts, Mrs. Oluwakemi Bello, DSVA’s Head of Field Operations, educated attendees on various forms of abuse, preventive measures, and the free support services offered by the agency. She emphasized recognizing abuse in all forms—physical, emotional, sexual, and economic—while urging proactive steps to combat SGBV in their communities.
Attendees were encouraged to report cases of abuse via the agency’s toll-free hotline, 08000-333-333. The DSVA team reaffirmed their commitment to justice, support, and rehabilitation for survivors while calling for collective action against domestic and sexual violence.
Fliers and educational materials were distributed, and the Chairman of UWUU, Lagos Zone, Mr. Sylvester Okiemute Obamrese, commended the Lagos State Government for its impactful initiative.
