Superstar musician David Adeleke, publicly known as Davido has revealed that nightlife entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, and talent manager Ubi Franklin are members of Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The revelation came during a recent visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where Davido was accompanied by both Chief Priest and Franklin.

In a video shared on Franklin’s Instagram page on Sunday, the trio were seen warmly greeting the president. During the exchange, Davido pointed out, “They are both your members, sir, they are APC.”

In response, Ubi Franklin confirmed his political involvement, telling President Tinubu that he had actively supported the president’s 2023 campaign, claiming to have traveled to 15 states alongside the then-candidate.

Acknowledging the support, Tinubu responded, “Very good. We succeeded and made it to the presidency.”

Cubana Chief Priest further expressed confidence in the APC’s future prospects, saying, “We will succeed again in 2027,” in a show of public support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Although the specific purpose of the visit was not disclosed, it followed closely on the heels of their separate meetings with Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

Cubana Chief Priest took to social media to share videos from the high-profile meetings, praising Nigeria’s top leaders. He referred to Vice President Shettima as “002 Nigeria, this is my father,” and Senate President Akpabio as “Nigeria’s 003.” A video with Speaker Abbas was captioned, “Honourable Speaker.”

Reacting to the meeting, Speaker Abbas highlighted discussions on the unifying power of music and culture. He commended Davido for using his platform to inspire young Nigerians and promote the nation’s heritage worldwide. Abbas also reaffirmed the government’s support for the creative industry as a key driver of national development.
