The All Progressives Congress (APC) stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s assertion about winning the 2027 general elections was unrealistic and misleading.

Mr. Seye Oladejo, APC’s spokesperson in Lagos State, explained in a statement released on Thursday that the remark was intended to correct what he described as a false impression created by the PDP.

He said the PDP lacked internal unity, had consistently lost major elections since 2015, and continued to suffer internal crises and defections.

Oladejo added that Nigerians continued to support the APC due to its achievements in economic reforms, infrastructure development, digital technology, and national security under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

It was also noted that the APC had delivered a strong performance in the 2023 elections and had built deeper connections with communities across Nigeria.

He clarified that the statement was a direct response to the PDP’s claim that it had the structure and strength to defeat the APC in the 2027 elections.

According to him, APC’s track record proved that it remained the most trusted political party in the country.
