The Forum of Nasarawa State House of Legislative Aides has appealed for a salary increase, regular training workshops, and a fund to support aides after their service.

This appeal was made at the Speaker’s office in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The forum, led by its Chairman, Mr. Sabo Christopher, requested the Speaker of the House, Dr. Danladi Jatau, during a recent visit.

Mr. Christopher explained that their current salaries no longer reflect the rising cost of living and the demands of their roles.

He added that an increase in salary and more training opportunities would help improve their service delivery.

The Speaker responded by promising to organize training workshops but asked the aides to be patient about salary increases until the House achieves full financial autonomy.

He also urged them to remain loyal and prayerful.
