Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps dislodged 13 miscreants occupying pedestrian bridges in the state on Thursday.

The state commissioner for the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, gave the update on his X handle on Thursday.

He added that the miscreants were arrested and taken to the LAGESC office for profiling and prosecution.

Wahab wrote, “13 miscreants were earlier today apprehended on Ladipo and Bolade pedestrian bridges. They have been taken to the #LAGESCOfficial office for profiling and prosecution in accordance with the state law.”

Reports say that LAGESC officials similarly arrested no fewer than 12 people for squatting on pedestrian bridges in April.

The state government also urged residents to make use of pedestrian bridges and ordered the prosecution of pedestrians crossing the highways.
