President Bola Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, following allegations leveled against him.
Nnaji, who was appointed in August 2023, tendered his resignation on Monday, expressing gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve the nation.
In his resignation letter, the former minister said he had become a target of political blackmail and decided to step aside to protect his integrity and allow for due process.
President Tinubu, in accepting his resignation, thanked Nnaji for his contributions to the administration and wished him success in his future endeavours.
