Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) President, Uyi Akpata, has listed 10 steps to grow cricket in the country after winning a second four-year term with all 47 votes at Saturday’s election in Abuja.

Wale Obalola also retained his position as Vice-President.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday, Akpata said the plan focuses on grassroots expansion, stronger governance, improved infrastructure, youth and female inclusion, and transparent administration.

The agenda includes creating zonal cricket bodies across the six geopolitical zones.

It also covers the establishment of high-performance centres.

Another step is the expansion of school cricket programmes.

Capacity building for coaches and officials will be strengthened.

Partnerships with state governments, international partners, and local stakeholders will be deepened.

The revised NCF constitution will serve as the framework for these reforms.

According to Akpata, the constitution will ensure compliance and guarantee long-term sustainability.
