The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Oluwafemi, the only son of former Deputy Governor, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.

Oluwafemi, a UK-based medical doctor, reportedly passed away early Wednesday following a surgical procedure in Dubai, UAE.

Speaking on Friday, the APC Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, said the party received the news with shock and profound sadness.

“This is a very painful and devastating loss. We mourn with Princess Orelope-Adefulire and her entire family. We share in their grief at this difficult time,” Oladejo said.

He added that the entire party has been thrown into mourning, describing the young man’s passing as “a huge loss to the entire political family.”

Oladejo prayed for God’s strength for the bereaved family and asked that they be granted the fortitude to bear the tragic loss.

Princess Orelope-Adefulire served as Lagos State Deputy Governor from 2011 to 2015 under former Governor Babatunde Fashola. She is currently the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals and remains a key APC figure in Alimosho as well as a member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council.
